The Manager Aireon Integrated Management System (AIMS) is specifically responsible for the quality and safety performance management aspects of Aireon at the enterprise level. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that Aireon’s continued compliance with EASA regulations is correctly documented, that the Regulatory Requirement project on JIRA is regularly reviewed and updated, that evidence statements accurately reflect demonstration of compliance and are updated in accordance with identified changes.   A key responsibility is to ensure that procedures and documentation are compliant with international standards and recommended practices defined by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations, National Supervisory Authorities (NSA) and any other applicable standards as deemed appropriate. The position will require coordination with such external organizations to meet the objective of certifying that Aireon’s services are compliant and fit for purpose. Additionally, the successful candidate hired for this position will manage and perform internal aviation safety audits against identified regulations both within Aireon and across our contracted services, encouraging partnerships with international air navigation service providers and other aviation stakeholders, providing direction to other functional areas and performing oversight of all key integrated management system activities including monitoring and analysis of key performance indicators across the organisation. They shall do this through careful management of the Integrated Management System Manual, working closely with the Sr Manager Compliance, collaborating closely with other functional area managers, and by providing oversight and direction to owners of all associated manuals which make up the management system – for example, the Systems Engineering Manuals, Operations Manuals and Competency Manuals where appropriate.   The Manager AIMS will be responsible for assuring the correct execution of all procedures supporting the activities of the AIMS and for monitoring all key performance indicators (inclusive of Safety Performance Indicators), performing trend analysis of system operational data, incident investigations, PTRs and oversight of the reporting process for compliance with requirements.   What You'll Do - Manage the Regulatory Compliance project on JIRA and ensure the evidence sections are updated to accurately reflect current status across all functional areas - Complete the integration of executive and enterprise policies and procedures - Assist with the delivery of safety and quality audit training to Aireon Team personnel when requested - Promote a strong safety culture by example of behaviour - Perform analysis of Occurrence, Incident and problem reports - Oversee design and test methods to assure these are fit for purpose and deliver appropriate evidence to support compliance

The Senior Systems Engineer will have a significant role in the design, development, testing, and analysis of the Aireon space-based Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) air traffic surveillance system. Reporting to the Manager of Systems Engineering, the Senior Systems Engineer will be involved with all phases of the systems engineering life cycle: Requirements, Design, Implementation, and Test.   Additionally, the Senior Systems Engineer will be participating in trade studies, evaluating sub-system applications, supporting the operational environment, and analyzing data for the operational system. The Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the various System Engineering documentation to include Systems Engineering Management Plans, System Design Documents, and System Interface Control Documents.   The Senior Systems Engineer will be expected to interface with other functional groups within the organization to include Operations, Safety, Security, and Program Management.  This individual will also collaborate in the technical and development activities of Aireon development partners, including Iridium and L3Harris. The Senior Systems Engineer will engage with engineers from customer organizations in the development, implementation, and validation of the Aireon system. A key objective is to ensure that the system meets the customer requirements and performance levels.   What You'll Do - Contribute to updates of the requirements, design, implementation, test and validation of the Aireon system and subsystems. - Author and update system level documents to include System Requirements, System CONOPS, System and Sub-System Interface Control Documents (ICDs). - Coordinate with Aireon Configuration Management (CM) to maintain a document tree and catalog repository for System level documents. - Participate and conduct Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) with Aireon staff, vendors and partners on open topics, new programs, etc. - Provide technical oversight to vendor deliverables through meetings, document reviews, and witness of test events. - Interface with Aireon Test Engineers and provide input for upcoming test campaigns as referenced through a VRTM to ensure test cases provide sufficient coverage for new and updated requirements. - Ensure the Aireon system performance meets the requirements of the customer ANSPs through traceability, requirements management, and gap analysis. - Trade studies, application integration, and data analysis to verify system performance. - Interaction with Aireon partners and customers such as the NATS and NAV CANADA on the technical and operational aspects of the Aireon system. - Technical support for demonstrations. - Diagnosis and correction of service anomalies (aka root cause analysis).

Aireon is certified to provide surveillance as a service to global customers in a safety-critical industry. Service Desk Technicians are an essential part of this service and are required to reach and maintain an acceptable standard of competency. Aireon will provide initial and ongoing training to support competency standards.
